Dr. Albers (IL '69), 64, Tacoma, Wash., died July 13, 2007. He owned The Pet Doctor, a practice in Lakewood, Wash. Dr. Albers was a past president of the Washington State VMA and a member of the American Animal Hospital Association. He was also a founding member of the Veterinary Leadership Group, focusing on effective practice management.

Dr. Albers is survived by his wife, Sarah; a son; and a daughter. Memorials may be made to the Christian Veterinary Mission, 19303 Fremont Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133; or Merle Palmer Minority Scholarship, P.O. Box 7119, Tacoma, WA 98417.

Dr. Edwards (OSU '65), 69, Worthington, Ohio, died July 16, 2007. In 1968, he founded Linworth Animal Hospital in Worthington. During his career, Dr. Edwards also helped design more than 60 veterinary hospitals across the country. A past president of what was known as the Columbus Veterinary Emergency Service, he was a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Ohio VMA, and Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and was active with the Capital Area Humane Society.

In 1991, Dr. Edwards received an Annual Recognition Award from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society for his service in the designing and building of the Columbus Veterinary Emergency Clinic. Active in civic life, he served on the Worthington Architectural Board, Board of Zoning Appeals, and Municipal Planning Commission. Dr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Diane, and two daughters. Dr. Kantor (CAL '55), 77, Del Mar, Calif., died Feb. 23, 2007. He owned Clairemont Animal Hospital in San Diego for more than 30 years. Dr. Kantor's wife, Ginger; two daughters; three stepdaughters; and two stepsons survive him. Dr. Kinser (IL '61), 76, Carlinville, Ill., died July 5, 2007. He had practiced in Carlinville since 1963. Dr. Kinser was a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, American Association of Swine Veterinarians, and Society for Theriogenology and a past board member of the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. Dr. Kinser's son and daughter survive him.

Dr. Maletz (UP '81), 51, Upper Salford, Pa., died June 7, 2007. She was the founder of Schwenksville Veterinary Medical Arts, a mixed animal practice in Schwenksville, Pa. Early in her career, Dr. Maletz practiced in Lansdale, Pa. Dr. Sibole (WSU '62), 72, Lodi, Calif., died May 30, 2007. He owned Mokelumne Veterinary Hospital in Lodi from 1975 until retirement in 2005. Following graduation, Dr. Sibole practiced large animal medicine in Enumclaw, Wash. He then worked for the Department of Agriculture in Yerington, Nev., and Stockton, Calif. Dr. Sibole resumed private practice in Lodi in 1969. He was an Army veteran. Dr. Sibole's wife, Biruta; two sons; and a daughter survive him. Dr. Wise (OSU '51), 82, Amsterdam, Ohio, died July 5, 2007. Prior to retirement, he owned Wintersville Veterinary Hospital in Wintersville, Ohio. Dr. Wise is survived by two sons.
