Dr. James W. Carlson

Dr. James West Carlson (KSU '59) received a 2008 Alumni Recognition Award from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and alumni association. Dr. Carlson operated a mixed animal practice in Crofton, Neb., from 1959-1985. He was active in the Nebraska VMA and has participated in a number of community activities.

The Chicago VMA has announced its officers for 2008. The new president is Dr. Shannon Greeley (IL '94) of Scottsdale Animal Clinic in Burbank, Ill. Dr. Yuval Nir (PAR '85) of The Vet-Net in Naperville, Ill., is president-elect.

Serving as treasurer is Dr. Bala Rengarajan (MAS '66) of South Shore Animal Clinic in Chicago. The secretary is Dr. Elizabeth Cutright (IL '01) of LePar Animal Hospital in Evergreen Park, Ill. Dr. Kathleen Heneghan (WIS '94) of Elmwood Grove Animal Hospital in River Grove, Ill., is the immediate past president.
