National Dog Bite Prevention Week coming in May

The AVMA Board of Governors has approved co-sponsorship of National Dog Bite Prevention Week, which the Humane Society of the United States has designated as May 20-26.

Most dog bites can be prevented through public education and responsible dog ownership. The AVMA has brochures, activity books, and bite prevention videos available for use during National Dog Bite Prevention Week.
