Grant boosts mission of WSAVA
Printer-friendly version

In March, Hill's Pet Nutrition and the World Small Animal Veterinary Association announced a $1.8 million pledge as part of their joint partnership toward providing better veterinary health care across the globe.

As part of the new agreement between the organizations, Hill's agreed to provide the four-year grant to aid WSAVA in areas such as the WSAVA Congress, WSAVA Global Continuing Education, WSAVA Disease Standardization Groups, and the WSAVA News Bulletin on WSAVA.org.

The WSAVA is made up of veterinary organizations from across the world focused on small companion animals.

The association's mission is to advance the quality and availability of small animal medicine and surgery by fostering the exchange of scientific information, both between individual veterinarians and between their veterinary organizations.

"Companion animals in countries across the globe are in need of receiving the best veterinary care possible," said Dr. Hein Meyer, Hill's director of Strategic Initiatives. "This can be achieved through shared understanding and knowledge, and to help, we are pleased to provide additional support to the World Small Animal Veterinary Association's efforts to advance the quality and availability of small animal medicine and surgery."
