AVMA position statements on US Pharmacopeia and Veterinary Medicine Advisory Panel were amended by the Executive Board according to the recommendations of the Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents.

Both statements were combined into a single statement titled "US Pharmacopeia Representation."

The council recommended that the number of U.S. veterinary schools and colleges in the US Pharmacopeia statement be updated and that the description of advisory input be stricken.

The Veterinary Medicine Advisory Panel statement was amended to read: "The AVMA strongly urges the USP to continue the work of the Veterinary Medical Information Expert Committee and the Veterinary Medical Standards Expert Committee. The AVMA also encourages the UPS to incorporate veterinarians on additional appropriate committees.
