EXECUTIVE BOARD COVERAGE

The Executive Board approved revisions to the glossary of the Judicious Therapeutic Use of Antimicrobials Policy, as recommended by the AVMA Animal Agriculture Liaison Committee. Revisions offered by several AVMA entities suggested rewording the definition of antimicrobials to be scientifically accurate. The board also approved changes in the committee's composition. The AALC membership was modified to replace two voting Executive Board members with one liaison from the board. Also, at the request of the International Association for Aquatic Animal Medicine, its representation was terminated. The board approved the AALC's recommendation to reassign that seat to the Aquatic Livestock Alliance.
