At its meeting in June, the Executive Board re-elected Dr. Bruce W. Little to the office of AVMA executive vice president and Dr. Janet D. Donlin to the office of AVMA assistant executive vice president. They will serve one-year terms.

Dr. Little joined the Association in 1985 and was named executive vice president in 1996. While in this position, Dr. Little has driven the AVMA to purchase buildings to house staff in Schaumburg, Ill., and most recently in Washington, D.C. He has overseen the launch of AVMA Online Services and helped develop the Association's Communications Division and Education and Research Division. He has served as a trustee to the AVMA Group Health and Life Insurance Trust and the AVMA Professional Liability Insurance Trust, and has held the role of staff liaison to numerous councils and committees. He also serves on the boards of directors of the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues and the American Veterinary Medical Foundation.

Meanwhile, Dr. Donlin was first named assistant executive vice president in June 2004. Since June 1996, she held the positions of AVMA associate executive vice president and director of the AVMA Executive Division. She joined the AVMA in 1991 as assistant director of the Scientific Activities Division. While at the Association, Dr. Donlin has served as a trustee to the AVMA GHLIT and has served as staff consultant to a number of AVMA entities, including the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities. She has also overseen the accreditation of veterinary technology programs.
