American Animal Hospital Association releases nutrition guidelines
In August 2010, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) released its Nutritional Assessment Guidelines for Dogs and Cats. According to the guidelines, "good nutrition enhances pets' quality and quantity of life, and is integral to optimal animal care. Incorporating nutritional assessment into regular animal care is critical for maintaining pets' health, as well as their response to disease and injury."
To help veterinary practices put these guidelines to use, AAHA is offering three webconferences and a number of regional workshops. The webconferences are sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition, and the topics are as follows. For more information and to sign up for these webconferences, visit "Putting the AAHA Nutritional Assessment Guidelines to Work" on the AAHA website.
