| Qualifying for dues reduction |
|
In special circumstances, AVMA members may qualify for reduced dues. To apply, select and print a copy of one of the forms below. When you have completed the form, mail the application along with any other required information to:

Application for Educational Reduced Dues Status (PDF)
If you are an active or associate member pursuing a full-time program of graduate study, postgraduate study, internship, or residency at an accredited college or university; or pursuing an internship listed by an allied organization in the House of Delegates; or in a residency approved by an AVMA-recognized veterinary specialty board or college, you may qualify for this dues reduction. Application for Dues Exempt Status- Disability (PDF)
If you are a member for whom payment of dues would be a financial hardship by reason of physical disability or illness, you may qualify for this dues exemption. See application for more information. |

Reduced Dues Status- Retired Members
If you are an active or affiliate member who has ceased all regular employment and completed 35 years as a member, or reached 65 years of age with continuous membership since graduation, you may qualify for reduced dues. Beginning January 1, 2009 members who meet those requirements may request a dues reduction of 50%. Retired members paying half dues will continue to accumulate years of membership toward Honor Roll Status.
