Meetings and CE Calendar – Frequently asked questions

Q:  What types of meetings and events are included in the calendar?
A:   The Meeting Planning Calendar is intended to provide information for veterinarians regarding their opportunities for continuing education. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following: specialty associations conferences, national veterinary meetings, regional veterinary conferences, and state veterinary medical association meetings. Observances, such as Pet Wellness Week or National Spay Day, are NOT included in the calendar.

Q:  How do I submit a meeting?
A:   In the left column, you will see a link titled "Submit a meeting." Click on this link, and you will be directed to the submission page. Complete the form (required fields are marked with asterisks) and click on the "Submit" button. You should then see a "Thank You" page with the assigned event ID number and the information you submitted. If you do not see this page, you may need to resubmit the information.

Event information MUST be submitted using the online form. Submissions via US mail, email, fax, or telephone will not be accepted. If you encounter problems with the submission form, please call 1-800-248-2862, extension 6655.

A:   When your meeting submission has been received, you will see a "Thank You" screen that displays the assigned event ID number and the information you submitted. If you do not see this page, you may need to resubmit the information.

If 5 business days have not elapsed since you submitted the meeting information, please check again later to see if it is posted.

All submissions are subject to AVMA approval. Submissions may be rejected if they violate AVMA policies. If your submission is rejected for any reason, you will be notified via email.
