The purpose of the What Is Your Neurologic Diagnosis? feature is to provide readers with an opportunity to evaluate results of neurologic examinations with a view to determining appropriate differential diagnoses and the most appropriate additional diagnostic testing. Overall, the feature is intended to provide clinically relevant information relating to the practice of veterinary neurology. Readers are invited to submit interesting cases in which neurologic examination findings were integral to the diagnosis of the disease or condition.
The text for manuscripts submitted for this feature should follow the set format used for this feature. For information regarding this format, please contact Dr. Helen L. Simons by telephone (847-925-8070 or 800-248-2862, ext 6692) or e-mail (hsimons@avma.org). The feature is limited to 3 printed pages in the journal; therefore, authors should provide the minimum detail needed to understand the case under consideration. A maximum of 2 figures may be considered for inclusion, but authors should be aware that inclusion of figures will decrease the amount of text that can be accommodated.
Authors should follow all general guidelines for manuscript preparation and submission, including guidelines for preparation of electronic copies of figures, given in the Instructions for JAVMA Authors. The What Is Your Neurologic Diagnosis? feature is published in cooperation with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine on behalf of the Specialty of Neurology.
