| Rates are charged per issue (JAVMA is published twice monthly). If the same Personal Classified Ad is published in 6 consecutive issues of the JAVMA, it will be inserted in the next successive issue at no charge. |

| Personal Classified Ad Rates |
| Applies to individuals or practitioners; does not apply to firms, institutions, or individuals regularly engaged in the sale of veterinary equipment or devices. $72.00 first 25 words, $1.00 for each additional word. There is an additional $45 charge per insertion for use of a JAVMA box number. Prepayment (VISA, MC, AMEX) is required. |

| Commercial Classified Ad Rates |
| Applies to firms, institutions and veterinarians operating a business outside their private practices. $140.00 first 25 words, $1.85 for each additional word. There is an additional $45 charge per insertion for use of a JAVMA box number. Prepayment (VISA, MC, AMEX, or Institutional PO) is required. |

| Educational Opportunity Ad Rates |
| Residency/internship ads $190.00 (350 words or less), $305.00 (over 350 words).
Prepayment (VISA, MC, AMEX, or Institutional PO) is required. |

| Word Count |
| A word is defined as one or more letters or numbers bounded by spaces. Name and address included in the ad should be included in the word count. To save space, the abbreviation AA/EOE may be used for "Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer." When a JAVMA box number is used, the box number address ("Address Box XXX, JAVMA") counts as 4 words. |

| Display Advertising Rates |
| Display ads include any advertisements that require variations in type face or format from that used in regular classified ads. Display ads are charged at regular advertising space rates. Information and a rate card can be accessed at http://www.avma.org/journals/advertisers.asp. |

| Online Advertising |
| Classified ads (display ads excluded) will be uploaded to the Member Resources section of the AVMA Network 10 to 14 days before the publication date. There is no additional cost for this service. The AVMA Network is located at www.avma.org |

| Policy |
| Advertisements that include references to age, race, color, religion, gender, or national origin or that request photographs of applicants will not be accepted. Acceptance of an advertisement for publication in the JAVMA does not imply endorsement of the product or service by the AVMA. |

| Submission of Ads |
| Classified ads are preferred via e-mail. Fax or mail also accepted. |
| |
| Cancellations |
| Cancellations must be received at least 30 days before the issue date. |
