The AVMA endorses the Compendium of Measures to Control Chlamydophila psittaci Infections Among Humans (Psittacosis) and Pet Birds (Avian Chlamydiosis) promulgated by the National Association of State Public Health Veterinarians (NASPHV). The full text of the Compendium is available from the NASPHV or from the AVMA Scientific Activities Division.
