Dr. Trent Callahan
Dr. Trent Callahan - Butler, MO
Owner, Bates County Veterinary Clinic
University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine, 1998
AVMA member for 4 year

I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian in high school. I grew up on a farm, so I always had animals. Because I pursued my dream, I really enjoy my job.

After veterinary school, I worked at another practice in Butler. We started our own practice three years ago and Bank of America's Practice Solutions division helped finance the renovation of the building and got our business started. We are a mixed animal practice, evenly split between large and small animal.

Starting a clinic from scratch isn't an easy task. Luckily for me, Bank of America was prepared to help me every step of the way. The Practice Solution's division gave us a three-tiered loan and operating capital. They were really easy to work with and helped us budget our costs accurately. They had a good idea of what it took to start a clinic from scratch and took good care of us. Practice Solutions provided reports that helped us monitor our clinic's progress and offered tools to help us view the practice's progress as it grew. The tools were so helpful that we extended it beyond Bank of American's requirements.
