The following paragraphs provide contact information for the testing agencies that administer the English language examinations used in Step 2 of the ECFVG certification program. Also included below is contact information for the Veterinary Information Verifying Agency, which is the sole agency responsible for transferring NAVLE or NBE/CCT scores. The NAVLE was used in ECFVG Step 3 from November 2000 through April 2007; the NBE and CCT were used prior to that. Complete descriptions of all four steps of the ECFVG certification program, including the minimum required scores for the examinations currently used in ECFVG Steps 2, 3, and 4, can be found in the ECFVG Policies and Procedures.

  2. Achieve a passing score on the Internet-based TOEFL (iB-TOEFL).

Contact Information, Veterinary Information Verifying Agency

Candidates who successfully completed the NAVLE during or prior to the April 2007 administration or the NBE and CCT prior to November 2000 may use those examination results to meet ECFVG Step 3 requirements. However, the ECFVG requires original NAVLE and NBE/CCT score reports directly from the Veterinary Information Verifying Agency (VIVA) of the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB). NAVLE and NBE/CCT scores are only reported to the ECFVG at the request of the ECFVG candidate. Requests for score transfers must be directed to VIVA.
