Welcome to the premier issue of the COE Standard, the AVMA Council on Education's new quarterly newsletter. The Standard is intended to keep you updated on COE activities — ongoing accreditation status of schools, upcoming site visits, changes in COE membership — and to inform and enhance your understanding of accreditation. Curious about what happens on a site visit? Perplexed by the term "substantial compliance"? Confused about outcomes assessment? We'll try to clarify all that and more.
