1. Annual reports
   
   Each fully recognized veterinary specialty organization is required to provide an annual report for the ABVS. A form for the annual report is provided (see Appendix B (PDF)). Reports are necessary to gather statistical data and to identify issues and potential problems. Reports are due by November 1 for consideration during the annual meeting of the full ABVS. Reports for fully recognized veterinary specialties and subspecialties are submitted in conjunction with the report of the parent recognized veterinary specialty organization (RVSO).
   
   
2. Five-year in-depth reports
   
   Each fully recognized veterinary specialty organization is required to submit an in-depth report of its status and activities to the ABVS at five-year intervals following full recognition. The in-depth report must be organized as outlined in Appendix C (PDF). Reports are necessary to gather current information and to assess compliance with the criteria in section II, part B of the Policies of the ABVS. Reports are due by November 1 for consideration during the annual meeting of the full ABVS. Reports for fully recognized veterinary specialties and subspecialties are submitted in conjunction with the report of the parent RVSO.
   
   
3. Interim reports
   
   Veterinary specialty organizations with provisional or probationary recognition by the AVMA are required to submit an interim report each year. This report must address progress toward meeting criteria (described in section II, part B of the Policies of the ABVS) required for full recognition. Reports are due by November 1 for consideration during the spring meeting of the full ABVS. A form for interim reports is included (see Appendix D (PDF)). Interim reports for veterinary specialties and subspecialties are submitted in conjunction with the report of the parent RVSO.
