During its Friday meeting, the AVMA House of Delegates recognized several of its members who are completing their terms of service. Dr. H. Ted Trimmer, delegate from the Nevada VMA, is leaving the HOD after 16 years. Drs. LaRue W. Johnson, delegate from the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners, Merry C. Crimi, delegate from the American Animal Hospital Association, and Clyde E. Taylor, delegate from the Mississippi VMA, are leaving the HOD after 12 years of service. Completing nine years of service is Howard R. Moore, delegate from the Arizona VMA.
Honorees who have served eight years include Drs. Susan S. Cook, delegate from the American Society of Laboratory Animal Practitioners, and V. Hugh Price Jr., delegate from the Louisiana VMA. Dr. Cecilia L. Kornegay, delegate from the Texas VMA, has served six years, and Dr. Geoffrey R. Gardner, alternate delegate from the Florida VMA, has served one year.
Also honored at the meeting were three members of the House Advisory Committee who are completing their terms of service. Dr. Michael L. Whitehair has served six years, Dr. John H. de Jong has served eight years, and Dr. V. Hugh Price Jr., has served three years.![]()
