AVMA Convention News NetworkConvention attendees don't have to leave the comfort of their hotel room for convention news and entertainment.

The AVMA Convention News Network television program offers stories on subjects ranging from veterinary clinics going green to what's happening in the Seattle area.

Today's show spotlights the Global Health Summit taking place today and tomorrow. The summit will feature national and international experts talking about everything from influenza pandemics to sustainable livestock agriculture in developing countries.

Seattle's Doney Memorial Pet Clinic will also take center stage. Started by Dr. Charles "Bud" Doney, the clinic serves the pets of homeless and poor people.

Be sure to tune in if you'd like a brief tutorial on getting around the city, or if you'd like to learn about the American Veterinary Medical Foundation's Our Oath in Action voluntourism project or AVMA Ed, the Association's answer for online continuing education opportunities.

A new 30-minute show is provided each day, today through Tuesday, airing 24 hours a day on a continuous loop. The show broadcasts on televisions in the convention center and certain convention hotels.

Thill Media LLC and the AVMA Communications Division produce the news program for the AVMA with support from gold-level sponsor Fort Dodge Animal Health and co-sponsor Subaru of North America.
