Dr. Melissa Hawkins
Nacogdoches, Tex
Veterinarian for 4 years–Small animal practitioner Attend some talks that provide me some information I didn't have so I can go back home and take that to my clients and my patients and give them better care. Specifically, dermatology; I can use some help with that. And behavior; those are always tough problems.

Dr. Kathryn Hudson
Diamondhead, Miss
Veterinarian for 5 years–Small animal practice Well, initially we came here because my friend was supposed to be speaking. But he works for the USDA, and they changed their plans about who they were going to have speak. We're going to go to some lectures. There's some on shelter medicine that I'm interested in. We're just going to look around and enjoy ourselves. We have some friends out in the area as well.

Veterinary technician student The continuing education; the lectures that are going on. I also am volunteering to help out with the acupuncture and acupressure lab. I thought it was really interesting that the AVMA is recognizing that some of the more holistic alternative medicine is becoming more viable. I've noticed that behavior is become a really big thing, and there are a lot of behavior sessions here this year.

Dr. Steven Nicholas
Kingsburg, Calif
Veterinarian for 16 years–Small animal/dairy practitioner I've always liked the AVMA meetings. They are well organized and I really enjoy them. We have friends up in the area, so that's a draw also. And it's just a nice area to visit.

Dr. Kendra Stauffer
Atlanta, Ga
Veterinarian for 10 years–Federal veterinarian with the USDA The preventive medicine and the one-health talks probably are the best available as far as any conference. I will be going to the One Health Symposium. Also, I just bought a copy of Jim Steele's autobiography, and he signed it for me.
