Run like the wind

Steamboat Natchez Dock in New Orleans was the starting point yesterday morning for this year's AVMA 5K run, sponsored by the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. The run followed a double-loop course along Woldenberg Riverfront Park on walking pathways.

Michael Buley took first place overall among the men, with a time of 19:04. He was followed by Timothy Stevenson with a time of 19:37. Chuck Dodd came in third with a time of 19:39.

Lisa Maclorakowski was the fastest woman overall, clocking in at 20:30. Christa Lloyd came in second with a time of 21:07. Third-place honors went to Ann DiFrancisco with a time of 21:25.
