General Information
Continuing Education Certificates
A certificate of participation will be provided to all conference attendees whose registration is paid in full. The symposium provides approximately 18 hours of educational contact time. Attendees are responsible for determining whether attendance meets the requirements of his/her professional licensing board or educational standards organization.
Registration Cancellation/Substitutions
We understand circumstances beyond your control may require you to cancel your attendance or send a substitute. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to: Kathy Sikora, Animal Welfare Division, American Veterinary Medical Association, 1931 North Meacham Rd, Suite 100, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173; e-mail (ksikora@avma.org), or facsimile (847-925-9329). If notice of cancellation is received on or before October 31, your registration fee will be refunded, less a $75 processing fee. Cancellations received after that date will not result in a refund. Substitutes may be sent at any time, but please notify Kathy Sikora of any substitutions prior to the symposium to facilitate the check-in process. "No shows" will be responsible for the full registration fee.
Program Changes and Cancellations
The AVMA and the AAVMC reserve the right to make changes in content and speakers, when conditions beyond our control prevail. In the unlikely event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, neither AVMA nor AAVMC will be responsible for losses incurred by registrants including, but not limited to, airline cancellation charges or hotel deposits.
ADA
The AVMA, AAVMC and Michigan State University comply with the guidelines set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. If you have special needs as addressed by the ADA, please indicate those on the registration form. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your needs.
