Title

The "Pet Owner's Guide to Common Small Animal Poisons" page is no longer available on the AVMA Web site. It has been removed because the information was outdated.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) provides many valuable online resources free of charge on their Animal Poison Control Center Web page. The Animal Poison Control Center page can be accessed from the ASPCA's home page (www.aspca.org) or directly via the following link: http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc.

The Animal Poison Control Center offers a hotline service for consultation on individual cases of animal poisoning. There is a charge for consultation; please see the ASPCA site for details. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center: (888) 426-4435

For introductory information about household hazards, the AVMA's brochure, "What You Should Know about Household Hazards," is available online. The entire brochure can be viewed online, or it can be downloaded and printed free of charge. Printed copies of the brochure are also available.
