Dr. Clark Fobian has approximately 30 years experience as a mixed and small animal veterinarian. He served for four years as an associate veterinarian at mixed animal practices in Nevada and Marshall, Missouri, before starting the Thompson Hills Animal Clinic in 1981, small animal practice in Sedalia, Missouri, that he still owns and operates.

Dr. Fobian grew up in suburban St. Louis, and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, attaining a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology in 1972 before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1977. He is a district deputy of the University of Missouri Alumni Association. From 1972 to 1978, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a medic for the 5503rd Army Hospital.

Dr. Fobian has had an active role in the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), including serving as its president in 2003 and chairman of the board. He has participated in lobbying efforts on issues important to the MVMA before the state legislature, and he also been an active member of the MVMA Legislative Committee, Guardianship Task Force, Veterinary News Network Task Force, and he is chair of the Scope of Practice Task Force. In January of 2006, the Missouri VMA named Dr. Fobian Veterinarian of the Year.

In addition, Fobian has been an active member of the Sedalia Symphony Society Board and is also its 2006 president. He is an active member of the First United Methodist Church, serving as its lay leader, and he is a volunteer at the Katy Trail Department of Natural Resources. Dr. Fobian had been married to his wife Rita for 32 years. They have two grown children, Kerri and Todd.
