Hurricane Recovery
How you can help

Hurricane Katrina Donation Kit

Hurricane Katrina left thousands of animals without food or shelter. The AVMA has designated $500,000 in matching funds to motivate donations to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation to specifically support the disaster relief efforts. The funds will be used to cover costs incurred by the four Veterinary Medical Assistant Teams including medical treatment for animals, animal care and the teams' supplies and equipment.

There are numerous ways YOU can help our four-legged friends. Choose from any of the donation kits below to help raise money for the Foundation.

CAN WRAPPER
Whether you work in an office or a clinic, this fundraiser is easy to manage. Simply print out the can wrapper PDF (8 x 4) and tape it to any can to collect donations from your clients or co-workers. Once your can is full, count the change and send check to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, Department 20-1122, P.O. Box 5940, Carol Stream, IL 60197, with "Animal Disaster Relief and Response Fund" written on the check's note section.

POSTERS
To accompany the donation can, print out one of the poster sizes below. This poster will draw in more attention to the fundraising efforts. Posters are available in the two sizes below. In order to depict the images on the poster and can-wrapper in the best possible way, it might be helpful to print both of them on a color printer or have them printed in color at a local quick print shop.

* Large - PDF (11 x 17)
* Letter - PDF (8.5 x 11)

NEWSPAPER ADS
Get the word out in your community by placing an ad in your local newspaper. Your local paper can help you personalize the ad. Choose from the several standard ad sizes below.

* Large Ad - PDF (7.937 x 9.687)
* Medium Ad - PDF (7.937 x 6.437)
* Small Ad - PDF (10 x 3.125)
