Telemedicine: Report of the AVMA Practice Advisory Panel (2016)

The AVMA Board of Directors asked the Practice Advisory Panel to consider issues related to telehealth and telemedicine, and to make recommendations to guide the veterinary profession’s responsible use of telemedicine through possible AVMA policy, guidelines, best practices and/or resources for practicing veterinarians.

Working through its Telemedicine Subcommittee and five working groups to tap the expertise of more than 50 volunteers, the Practice Advisory Panel prepared this final report and presented it to the Board of Directors in January 2017.
